Drunk Baby

These are just a couple pictures I took at my Mom's this evening. I gave Rileigh a cold Corona to play with and so I thought it would be funny to take a picture. Well, the second one she looks drunk so I decided to post for a good laugh!

Nine Months Old

It is hard to believe that my little girl is 9 months old already. Before you know it, we will be celebrating her first birthday. You can see the Cinderella dress that I bought Rileigh to wear in Disney World. We are going to be there for her birthday. She is getting big and just as cute as she wants to be. However, she is getting quite a temper on her. Rileigh does not like to hear the word No! Her new favorite word is "Hi". She says this all the time, especially to Oscar. She loves her puppy. She is beginning to hold on to the table and walk around it. I guess it won't be too much longer before she starts walking. I think she will be walking before her birthday! I have started feeding her table food and she seems to really enjoy it. Every night at dinner, I have Rileigh and Oscar both begging from me. It is actually cute how excited she gets when she sees me come with my plate of food. I don't know why, but she never begs from Rob.

Jimmy Buffett

This past weekend Mom, Dawn and I went to Bristow, VA for a Jimmy Buffett concert. We had a great time and it was nice to get away for a day. Rob stayed home overnight with Rileigh for the first time, and I did really well. Everyone, including myself, thought that I would be a wreck, but I didn't worry at all. He is a good daddy! While at the concert, we ran into my aunt Pudd and two of her friends. We enjoyed our tale gating as you can see from Dawn and Mom's pictures. I think Dawn was a little out of it by this point. :-) Love ya Dawn!

Trip to MD

Rileigh and I took our first trip together to Hagerstown to have a girl's weekend with my cousins Andrea and Angie. We stayed with Angie and her daughter Alley. It was nice for Rileigh to have another little girl to play with all weekend. When we got there on Friday, we went to my aunt Shirley's house to visit for a while. Rileigh stole Alley's pacifier, but as you can tell in the top picture, she had no clue what to do with it. She just kept chewing on it. It was pretty funny. The bottom picture is Andrea holding the two girls. The both love their "Luv"!

Vacation

I took a week vacation the second week of August and spent it with Rileigh. Mom, Dad, Dawn and the girls went to Hilton Head, SC for the week. It was nice to have that time with Rileigh. I had been working a lot of late evenings prior to the vacation and was getting home after Rileigh was in bed. Serious Mother's guilt was kicking in so my week off came at a great time. We spent time with friends and she had a couple play dates (Thanks Jill and Kerry!). As you can see, Rileigh and Oscar also helped me clean out our pantry. Dustin came over one night for dinner and he and Rileigh played for a little bit. I think she is finally getting to a size where he feels more comfortable holding her. She loves her Uncle Dustin!

Rileigh at the Reunion

This year was Rileigh's first reunion and she had a great time. When she finally figured out that she could touch the bottom of the pool and hold on to the wall, she thought she was hot stuff. She had a lot of foods for the first time that day as well. She was eating a peach, she had a tootsie roll pop and she even shared some cotton candy with her Nanny. Needless to say, she was on a sugar high that night. I think the tootsie pop was her favorite!

Family Reunion

Each year, the first Saturday in August, is our annual family reunion. This is in Hagerstown, MD and we have it at a park. We have a potluck style buffet dinner and then we get the pool to ourselves for 2 hours in the evening. It is always a lot of fun. The pool is really nice because is starts out at like 1 foot deep and then goes down to a deep end with a diving board. Kids of all ages can enjoy it. There are also two nice play ground areas that the kids can play. This year we had two new additions at the reunion. The first was baby Pacey who is just adorable. She is my cousin Scott's baby. And the second was Santana. This is my cousin Nicole and her husband Mike's dog. He is a cutie!

Dustin's Birthday

So I am a little late in posting this, but Dustin's birthday was on July 27th. We celebrated at mom and dad's by cooking out and having cake, ice cream and presents. Dustin had a great day! Dad made him a shadow box that holds the hat and clip on tie that belonged to our Pappy. You can't really see the hat in the picture because it is black, but the box turned out really nice. Rileigh enjoyed herself because she got to share cake and ice cream with her Gookie!
